Dan Moseke
As an associate director, Dan provides support with project plans, metrics, reporting and communicating successes for active initiatives under the five pillars of the University’s strategic plan. He serves as an OSI Core representative for special projects designated by the UArizona president. Dan served as the project consultant for the Presidential Advisory Commission on the Future of Agriculture and Food Production in a Drying Climate, and serves a similar role for the implementation phase of the project. He is currently the project consultant for the Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing, providing project management support and coordination between center leadership and stakeholders in higher education, in industry, and with funding sponsors.
Dan has an MS in Global Technology and Development from Arizona State University and many years of experience across multiple departments at both the University of Arizona and University of Virginia.
Prior to OSI, Dan was the Director, Research Development Operations for Research Development Services at UArizona. He supervised and was responsible for a team who administered $1.2M in RII internal funding, created and disseminated The Current and Limited Submissions weekly newsletters, managed the limited submissions review and selection process for the university that resulted in $85M in research funding over five years, directed research-related events, coordinated research development content creation, and handled any other research development operational needs.
Dan has overseen projects, events, and grants for the UVA McIntire School of Commerce, UVA Office of the Provost, the UA parking department, UA Presents, UA Chemistry & Biochemistry, and the UA Renewable Energy Network. He was the program coordinator at a UA-led Energy Frontier Research Center providing logistical support and overseeing administrative operations for the Center's staff of PIs, post-docs, students and staff at UA and five partner institutions.
Dan is a University of Arizona alumnus, a longtime resident of Tucson and an avid cyclist and volunteer in the local bicycle community.
