STRATEGIC PLAN

Our Path Forward

The strategic planning team spent several months working diligently with leadership to assess and prioritize the 90-plus strategic initiatives presented to the Arizona Board of Regents. The implementation of the initiatives is moving forward in waves with many already in progress and many more launching throughout the spring semester. The criteria for activation of initiatives considered the viability of execution, the connection to the overall plan, ROI, impact and boldness.

We are currently building a dedicated team to support the initiative teams as they strive to deliver impact. On this point, we are pleased to announce that we have established the Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI) and appointed Jane Hunter who will lead our efforts as the implementation of the strategic plan goes forward. In addition to supporting the initiative teams, the OSI is tasked with performance benchmarking and reporting, tracking and measuring progress, and most importantly, celebrating the successes of the initiatives as they achieve the goals of the strategic plan.

What's Next?

The transition from the planning phase to the implementation phase is exciting and challenging. Initiative owners are coordinating with pillar owners and OSI project managers to develop detailed plans and begin execution of the plans. The efforts of those who are supporting these initiatives in so many important ways are greatly appreciated.

Throughout this process, we are committed to updating our communities on the progress of each pillar and initiative. If you would like to keep track of our progress, subscribe here for regular updates.
